Fermented L-Citrulline
A study done by Bendahan et al. (2002) examined the effects of L-Citrulline supplementation on aerobic energy production in human exercising muscle. The study showed that the participants who ingested L-Citrulline resulted in a significant reduction in the sensation of fatigue, a 34% increase in the rate of oxidative ATP production during exercise, and a 20% increase in the rate of phosphocreatine recovery after exercise, indicating a larger contribution of oxidative ATP synthesis to energy production.

Fermented Amino Acids
In a study done Shimomura et al. (2006) researchers examined the effects of BCAA supplementation on delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and muscle fatigue induced by squat exercise in humans. The results obtained showed that BCAA supplementation prior to squat exercise decreased DOMS and muscle fatigue occurring for a few days after exercise. These findings suggest that BCAAs may be useful for muscle recovery following exercise.
